My Story

I was born and raised in Mission Canyon here in Santa Barbara. I received my undergraduate in horticulture from Cal Poly, SLO and worked in landscape design for many years. It's no surprise that I find nature healing and essential to our wellbeing. Throughout the years, I have found the manner in which we connect to ourselves and with one another to be of utmost importance. I decided to focus all my efforts on learning more about how to improve these relationships. I graduated with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Santa Barbara, CA in 2022.

I worked with adolescents in the school setting with Aha! Santa Barbara and have been sitting with my individual clients at Community Counseling and Education Center since October 2021.

I have a deep love for animals, nature, food, music, family & community. When out of the therapy room I am hiking the hills with my dog Louis, surfing, gardening or cooking a lovely dinner with people I love.

My Approach

My approach is psychodynamic but flexible; exploring the relationship to the self in both past and present experiences. I believe acceptance, choice, flexibility and compassion are the key agents of change. I view life through the bittersweet lens of existentialism and am aligned with Buddhist principles. I am EMDR trained and fascinated by the human brain and somatic storage of trauma. I enjoy working with adolescents and individuals with a range of needs. I am LGBTQIA+ informed and delighted to support any and all life experiences.

I appreciate the depths of the human experience and also love a good laugh when it's available. It is an absolute honor to do this work alongside you.
